~~~We’re proof that sometimes, you CAN go home again.
After wondering and wandering to and from each other for a little over five years, on June 20, 2008, we set aside our yesteryears of fear and trepidation, answering each others question of commitment - with a promise of forever.
Vows adjoined a beautiful, loving, stress prone, highly stubborn, somewhat neurotic yet effervescent woman with an amazing ability to flourish regardless of odds - with a soft-spoken, highly driven, somewhat eccentric (and occasionally just as stubborn) smart-a**, with the ability to see the sun in the nastiest of storms. Although we don’t always see eye to eye, we do compliment each other, and she completes me.
First came love, then FINALLY marriage, and now for the little ones to be pushed around in the baby carriage.~~~
~*~The day finally arrived and we were so happy to proclaim our love and commitment to the world. On June 20th we celebrated our new beginning with our closest family and friends. It was an amazing sunset ceremony with sand between our toes and love floating through the air. We missed those who were unable to attend, but enjoyed our time surrounded by those that could. Ary & Forrest were a big part of our ceremony, providing readings during it and toasts at the reception. Unfortunately Ally was not able to enjoy the moment with us, but we included her name in our ceremony as well because uniting all of our family was very important to us. Regardless of the distance (emotional or physical), our love is always the same for everyone.
Many more things will be happening over the summer that all of us are excited about. They are 'confidential' right now, but we can't wait to share them with all of you as the time comes. ~*~
We’re over five years in the making and currently writing our “happily ever after”. There were some twists and turns getting here but we're looking forward to exchanging our vows June 20th 2008, with wind in our hair, sand between our toes, the sun set behind us, and our future together ahead. Alix works from home connecting the world through IT and telecommunication services and I am a full time student working on raising a family and launching a career in social work - connecting families.
Our kids - Forrest, 13 & Ary, 9 - enjoy alternating days of hormonal imbalance keeping us both on our toes and sometimes in stitches. Forrest enjoys sharing his pre-teen angst, but is a genuinely good guy and an exceptional student (when he applies himself). Ary is talkative, yet shy and a very caring and empathetic soul. She loves reading, digesting libraries worth in a single seating.
The current youngest child at 2 is Ally who currently lives with her biological mom and grandparents in Texas. We’re hoping to have her enjoying the Florida sun at least a few times a year – very soon.
~*~ This is our family. It sometimes seems that we were given more cards in our deck than others, but we take them as they are, reshuffle and start again. Get comfy and enjoy our journey through life via your computer screen. ~*~
You can visit some of the kids old entries on www.juleskids.multiply.com. As of April 6, 2008 all entries will be on this site with the author noted.
